Big hearted volunteers have re-opened a Maghull food bank which had to close in March.
The new Maghull Food Bank operates every Tuesday morning from 10-12 in the town’s Methodist Church on Liverpool Road North.
A spokesperson said:
“Many people will be aware that there has been a food bank in Maghull for the last eight years. The local community has always been outstandingly generous in its support and continues to be so.
“Its aim is to ensure that no one in our local community goes hungry.”
Vouchers can be obtained from local schools, local churches, Maghull Town Council and a number of health professionals; however, people do not need to have a voucher to be given food and there is no limit to the amount of help that can be given.
It’s helped a wide range of people from those who have had their own business to people who have lost jobs, become unwell or had benefits stopped or cut.
