Daredevil fundraisers are being sought for an 11,000ft skydive this summer.
St. Joseph’s Hospice in Thornton is looking for anyone who is after the experience of a lifetime and would be prepared to jump out of a plane in order to secure future funding for the hospice.
The hospice, which provides end of life care for over 200 patients every year in Merseyside and West Lancashire, has launched its first ever skydive event which will take place on Sunday 22nd August.
Participants will jump from a height of 11,000ft, in tandem with their instructor, before experiencing a 120mph rush for approximately 30 seconds after leaving the aircraft. The instructor will then deploy the parachute and you will experience peace and quiet whilst slowly gliding back down to earth.
Zoë Furnivall, fundraiser at St. Joseph’s Hospice, said:
“This is our first event skydive event and it’s really exciting because it offers people such an incredible experience and is something they will remember forever.
“After the year we have all had, what better way to get out there and do something amazing that will help us to fund hospice care for local families in the future.
“We have a limited number of places so please sign up now to avoid missing out. There are inevitably some restrictions with this event so please take a look at our website www.jospice.org.uk for all the details or you can call us on 0151 932 6044 or email events@jospice.org.uk.”
