Brilliant drone footage of where the first settlers made their home, apparently.
The town’s name came from Orm the Viking, the word Scarth is a Norse word, the settlers chose Scarth Hill ‘a sandstone outcrop’ because Ormskirk and Burscough was mostly marshland!
